We All Scream For Ice Cream When It’s Hot Outside

I can honestly not think of a better way to beat the summer heat than with frozen confections such as ice cream, gelato, fro-yo, and the like.

Maybe its just an excuse to eat more ice cream, but I’m ok with that!

Thankfully, there are a lot of cool options when it comes to enjoying a frozen treat.  I’ve recently tried Stonewall Kitchen’s new line of dessert toppings and I have to say, they are not only delicious, they also are very versatile.

Some combos I like are Strawberry on vanilla ice cream , and Blueberry on chocolate ice cream, but there is no wrong answer when it comes to dessert.

And if ice cream isn’t for you, there are a ton of other ways to enjoy Stonewall Kitchen’s dessert toppings.  I have been enjoying it on scones, pie, cake, cobbler, muffins, croissants, and even a nice crusty baguette! …this makes me sound like I eat nothing but sweets.  But I assure you its for business, not pleasure.

The point is, having the right ingredients in your pantry is the easiest way to make your food a little more interesting, which is why I always have an assortment of unique and delicious things in my kitchen.

Of course, If you know me at all, I like to experiment with and play with  my food!  What could be more fun than using ingredients is out of he box ways.

SO I thought to myself, why not make the frozen treat out of the topping!  Right!!…I dunno, lol I thought it was clever 😉

Any way, give this quick easy recipe a try!

Dessert Topping Pops

1 jar Stonewall dessert topping

1 package berries (blueberry, strawberries, etc.)

1 cup apple juice

This recipe is really really easy, and tastes great.  Simply add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.  Pour the liquid into a popsicle mold and freeze until hardened.  If you don’t have a popsicle mold, you can even use an ice cube tray and make mini pops, or use the cubes in your favorite cocktail.  The possibilities are limitless!
